Solution
The solution to this problem is to clear the cache of SharePoint Designer.
1. If opened close SharePoint Designer
2. Open the folder %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3. Delete the contents
4. Open the folder %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WebsiteCache
5. Delete the contents
6. Problem solved.
Close SPD and reopen.
Try now.

Solution:
Please make sure that you have installed AccessDatabaseEngine.exe provider with proper version (32 or 64bit version based on the office version installed) on the sql server machine.

Open Search result page
Edit the Refinement Panel web Part. -> Click on ‘Choose Refiners…’ button.
From the list of ‘Available Refiners’ -> Select ‘RefineableString00’ -> Click ‘Add’ button.
Change the ‘Display Name’ for it (Initially it may not show the Sample Values, wait for around 5-10 mins to take effect )
Click ‘Ok’ -> Save and Close the Page -> Check-In and Publish the Page
