SharePoint error: "No connectivity with server"

Root Cause: LAN Settings are missing
Solution:
Open IE
Click on Tools  or Alt+X
Click on  Internet Options
Click on Connections tab
Click on  LAN Settings
Make sure 'Automatically detect settings' is checked
If you are using 'Use automatic configuration script', make sure it is set to the correct proxy address.
