How to Change Sharepoint Web Application Port
We can this using
1.Change IIS Bindings
2.Edit Alternate Access Mapping
I am having my sharepoint in 8080 port.
Ex: http://SP2010:8080/
I would like to change the port from 8080 to 8090
Will see 1st option...
Go to IIS. (Windows + R. Type: inetmgr)
Expand Sites node
Right click on your 8080 port site
Click on "Edit Bindings"
Select the bindings associated, Click on "Edit"
Change the port from 8080 to 8090 and update the bindings.
You are done...
Try 2nd option
Open Central Administration >> System Settings >> Alternate Access Mapping
Select the target web application
Click on "Edit Public URL" and change the Default zone URL from: http://SP2010:8080 to http://SP2010:8085
Ok
