Kerberos- NTLM
• Authentication protocols are easily mismatched. While installing and configuring SharePoint, which also builds the SharePoint Administration site, be sure to select the appropriate protocol:
- Kerberos for K2 for SharePoint multiple server environment
- NTLM for K2 for SharePoint single server environment
• It is important that the authentication protocol is standardized. The SharePoint Web Applications can use either NTLM or Kerberos. If Kerberos is used, verify that Kerberos is working before installing K2 for SharePoint.
• When combining services on a single server, ensure that the K2 Runtime Web services are not configured to use the same port. For example, with SharePoint (MOSS/WSS) and SQL reporting, the web applications and the reporting services both use port 80 by default.
•
It is best practice NOT to use the same user as destination user that is also configured as the SharePoint Farm Administrator, SharePoint System Account or the Application Pool Account. An actual User account should not be used as the SharePoint Farm Administrator, SharePoint System Account or the Application Pool Account.
